Most of these designs are made using US Meduim #4 - Worsted weight yarn, this is UK Aran weight. Crochet hook size G-6 (4.00mm). If you can't get hold of of a suitable Aran weight yarn, these animals will work well in a DK yarn but remember to go down a size of hook to 3.50mm.
